Whilst most restaurants, bars and hotels in Cyprus have plenty of English speaking staff, it really helps to know a few Greek words when you are eating out.
It's good to learn greek food and drink vocabulary. The owners and restaurant staff will really appreciate you making an effort to speak their language and will also help you out if you're not sure how to pronounce a word.
If you head inland for lunch or supper in one of the mountain villages, you may well need some of these

Remember, put the stress on the part of the word in italics. And have fun as you learn greek food and drink words.
