What form of money to take to Cyprus after banking crisis

I am holidaying in Protaras in June 2013. Should I take cash or cards or is it business as usual?

As at April 18th 2013, all cash points are working and you can pay by card in most shops. Restaurants prefer cash, but that has always been the case as Cyprus has had a cash culture especially in small businesses and village tavernas for example.

Things may change by June as by then Laiki bank may well have closed so there will be fewer ATM's, but it should not affect things. My advice is to bring both cash and cards and to keep an eye on the news for any developments.
