Review of Sienna Restaurant in Paphos by: Helen (website owner)
I finally booked a table at Sienna last week to have dinner with an old friend and my husband.
I've read reviews about Sienna on otheer sites and was really looking forward to eating at a different place.
I have to say I was disappointed - Sienna did not live up to the hype. The menu says that everything is cooked "fresh" - well that may be true if you call sticking something in the microwave fresh!
My soutsoukakia was lovingly described on the menu but I received a VERY hot ie microwaved (it burnt my mouth) bowl of dried out meat balls in a gloopy green sauce. Flavour was ok but it looked and tasted sad compared to the menu description.
My husband had a pork dish which was overcooked and dry and our friend ordered a curried chicken dish presented on a huge platter which looked like childish awkward presentation had taken over from flavour.
I would describe Sienna as very average and typical of the food found on the coastal "strip" in Paphos. Service was good though and I think the reason people like it is because it's cheap - you can eat 3 courses for ten euros - cheap however doesn't always translate to good value.
