We have been to Paphos and totally loved it there.
We are thinking of going back to Cyprus again and were wondering if you could recommend another part of Cyprus that's similar to Paphos as we really liked the fact it was not too touristy there. We are mature travellers (48 and 58 years) and enjoy photography, walking, seeing historical sites and experiencing the local culture and food etc.
Whilst we don't mind being near a beach, we do not want is to be in a location where there is nothing but huge hotels and beaches crammed full of sun beds.
We would prefer a place, that's quieter and bit more "authentic Cyprus" and away from nightclubs etc. but somewhere that's not too remote and has access (e.g. by bus) to a town/village for restaurants, walking around etc.
Would you be able to recommend an area? We would be flying in from Stansted airport and are looking to stay for 1 or possible 2 weeks possibly in October/November 2019.
In case it helps, we would be looking for somewhere with 3 or 4 star accommodation with air conditioning.
We've been looking on the internet at places like Lara Beach and Pissouri but would appreciate your expertise and advice!
We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
Regards.
