Polis and Latchi offer a gorgeous setting for any wedding. A close friend got married there a couple of years ago and, as she already lived there with her partner, she arranged everything herself.

It's really very easy as you just need to arrange the paperwork and civil ceremony with the Polis municipality office, then choose where to have your reception.

My friend chose to actually take her vows at the wedding reception venue, which was a taverna called Peryiali located right on the beach on Latchi seafront.

It was a breezy but beautiful sunny day in September and the day was perfect with a short ceremony, a lovely reception afterwards for 20 or so close friends, then an evening cruise on the Koulla (old) fishing boat, now pleasure cruiser, to watch the sun go down.

It was magical and a very memorable day/night.
