We are coming to our apartment in Polis for Easter. Where are the best places to join in with the celebrations?

Where to celebrate Easter in Cyprus

Easter in Cyprus is very much a family affair with many people returning to the island to meet up with family. Lots of meat is bought ready for souvla and kleftiko and the women have been baking all week with all kinds of goodies.

Most villages build a bonfire which is normally lit on Saturday evening. One of the best villages to join in with the fun in the Polis area is Neo Chorio. They know how to party all night long up in Neo Chorio!

Main towns like Polis will also have some festivities, but to be honest I don't know the details as I've been too busy with work to check.

I'd suggest you pop into Polis square when you arrive to ask what is going on there on Saturday/Sunday evening.
