Poppies in Cyprus

The spring flowers in 2012 this year have been amazing and none more so than the poppies which have been growing in their tens of thousands.

It's now mid May and there are still fields full of bright red poppies and yellow daisies everywhere. Absolutely stunning.

They also seem to pop up on rough ground around goat farms where there is hardly any soil but plenty of goat poo!

It's fabulous to be out walking or cycling flanked by an army of poppies everywhere you go.
