Is it possible to either book a sea boat fishing trip or can I hire freshwater tackle and fish in a dam on my own?

Yes you can book chartered fishing trips in the sea or day trips to one of the many dams and reservoirs around the island for freshwater fishing.

You don't say where you are staying but in the Paphos area, you can try Out of the Blue (http://www.charterfishingcyprus.com/) for marine safaris and Enterprise Fishing (http://www.enterprisefishing.co.uk/) for freshwater fishing trips with experienced guides.

You need a licence to fish in dams and reservoirs so you can't do it on your own.
