Budget, romantic holiday

My husband and I are interested in visiting Cyprus from South Africa in October 2014. We are on quite a budget. We would love to see as much of Cyprus as possible but will be limited by cost. Are there any recommended clean, romantic villas. And how much spending money would you recommend (don't have to eat out every night) would €700 be enough for 2 weeks for 2 people?

First, yes €700 euros should be enough for your holiday spending money, though you will probably have to self cater rather than eat out every night and it won't give a lot of spending money for excursions.

In terms of villas, there are just so many choices and I don't know what your budget is.

I would start by looking at the private villas page on my site as I personally know all the owners and they maintain their villas to the highest standard.

Villa Heddfan is in a beautiful location in the hills close to where I live, it's great value and is like a home from home place to stay. It's also close to some excellent tavernas which are cheaper than the ones on the coast - we eat in that village rather than pay the coastal resort prices!

If you can't find anything there, start looking through the recommended villas on my main villas page where you can book through my recommended holiday villa partner where the standards of the villa maintenance is very high.
